At Dirt Squirrel Apparel, we love being a part of a widely diverse, unique and creative community. We get to experience different walks of life, seeing how people thrive, while also seeing barriers specific to our many different community members’ success. While most cases are unique, there are some overarching things we can do both as a company, and as a collective community. This starts by spreading awareness and increasing knowledge. Spreading love and rainbows also helps, y’all! For these reasons, we created our Rainbow Pride Collection!
We designed our rainbow pride collection with one thing in mind, as a way for us to give back to community members while providing our customers with a sickening product that they would be proud to wear! Through this, we were able to incorporate a monetary donation from the sale of every item in our rainbow pride collection. These proceeds directly benefit Rainbow Refugee, which is a local Vancouver, BC charity. Rainbow Refugee provides support and helps asylum seekers safely relocate to Canada. We offer 5 different rainbow orientated products as a part of our collection. Starting with our Rainbow Puff shirts! Each shirt is emblazoned on the chest with a puffed (3D like) rainbow. Yep, all seven colours! These use a soft cotton and offer a subtle way to showcase your pride while supporting a great cause! Now this is where we get real about comfort and LOVE. Splashed across the entire back of our oversized crewneck are the words ‘LOVE IS LOVE’ and this sentiment could not be truer. Each elbow has a bright red heart, and splashed across the front is a large, bright rainbow. Each of these graphics are raised, puff style giving this sweater a unique and fun look.
